A capacidade de produção diária pode variar até 30% para mais ou para menos dependendo da temperatura ambiente, da temperatura de entrada de água e da espessura do gelo configurada na máquina. A produção total diária considera ciclo contínuo onde o reservatório de gelo é esvaziado constantemente por se tratar de um sistema automático onde o equipamento para de produzir quando o reservatório está cheio. O tempo médio em cada descarga é considerada entre os ciclos, pois o primeiro ciclo, ao iniciar a máquina, pode ser mais longo devido a autolimpeza ou resfriamento inicial do conjunto.
